Questions, bugs or ideas: write to support@duckylabs.tech. Please include your iPhone or iPad model, the iOS version, your miner's model and its AxeOS version.
What you need
- A miner running AxeOS (ESP-Miner), such as a Bitaxe, on the same network as your iPhone or iPad.
- AxeOS 2.11 or later to tune from the app or keep history on the miner (on a board with PSRAM), 2.12 for 10-minute averages and hashrate-drop alerts, 2.14 for the best-share chart, and 2.15 for automatic discovery. Older versions can still be monitored.
- iOS or iPadOS 27, and watchOS 27 for the Apple Watch app.
Common questions
HashExplorer can't find my miner
Check that your iPhone is on the same Wi-Fi as the miner and that Local Network access is on (Settings › Apps › HashExplorer). Miners on AxeOS 2.15 or later show up automatically. For older ones, tap Scan (it checks up to 254 addresses; on a larger network, enter the miner's range, such as 192.168.1.0, in the "Another network" field) or type the miner's IP address, which AxeOS shows on its screen and web page.
The widget or watch shows old numbers
Widgets refresh themselves every so often while your iPhone is on the same network as your miners; the watch shows what your iPhone last sent it. To update now, open HashExplorer or tap the refresh button on a medium or larger widget. The watch needs your iPhone nearby.
I didn't get an alert
Alerts while the app is closed depend on Background App Refresh, which iOS runs when it chooses, and need your iPhone to reach your miners (on your home Wi-Fi, or over a VPN to it); the offline alert only counts on your home Wi-Fi. Check that alerts are on in the app and that notifications are allowed in iOS Settings.
Is tuning safe?
Presets come from your miner's firmware. Values outside them show a warning first. HashExplorer reads each change made in Tune back from the miner and, if it doesn't take, puts the previous settings back (and tells you if it can't). Within 10 minutes of an increase, while the app is open, it also goes back by itself if the miner runs too hot. Higher settings still mean more heat and wear: watch temperatures after a change, and see the Terms of Use.
